Ferodo Racing DS UNO
DS UNO is a new heavy duty racing material from Ferodo Racing. It is already race proven in GT, Touring Car, Formula Ford and Rally. The technical objective for the material is to provide a high friction output whilst improving pad and disc life and to offer excellent modulabilty throughout braking. This means the risk of wheel lock is significantly reduced compared to other pads with the same high nominal friction coefficient, without ant loss if output. This is the ultimate good feel pad.
The Key Features are
Medium/high coefficient of friction at all speeds and temperatures
Excellent modulation
Excellent pad life and condition
Consistent Performance
Race pedal feel

Ferodo DS Performance
Ferodo DS Performance brake pads are designed for the driver who demands the ultimate in braking performance. They provide the kind of braking power normally associated with racing cars - all without the need to build up and maintain high operating temperatures. Giving low and high speed braking efficiency, reduced stopping distances and consistent brake pedal feel from cold, DS Performance are the driver's choice for safe, high performance braking, with a friction level of approximately 0.45. Many high performance brake materials are harsh and can cause faster than normal disc wear. Ferodo DS Performance pads are formulated to minimise disc wear without losing the friction like characteristics associated with Ferodo products.
Ferodo DS Performance Pads are supplied to you "Ready to Perform" which means that they reach maximum
efficiency after only one or two brake applications. |

|
As braking temperatures rise, DS Performance continues to deliver consistent and reliable braking. This graph illustrates an impressively stable friction level, rising slightly as the pads work harder (the blue points) in response to rising temperatures (the red trace). |

Ferodo Racing DS2500 - H compound
High performance road/track pads. DS2500 is the latest pad compound developed by Ferodo. It is an excellent high performance road compound, and is suitable for many club racing and rally applications. It is easy to bed and offers excellent braking with a high level of controllability, and is economically priced.
The Key Features are
Consistent coefficient of friction (0,42) at all temperatures
Low noise / low dusting
Long pad life
Kind on discs
Firm pedal |
This new generation of friction material is very low in compressibility ensuring a firm pedal, whilst still providing great life for both disc and pad. Combined with low wheel dusting and good noise characteristics this product is the brake pad for the driver who demands the ultimate in track day braking performance. |

Ferodo Racing DS3000 - R compound
DS3000 is the FERODO RACING compound that has set the braking standard from race one back in the 1998 season. DS3000 has contributed to countless wins and podium positions in many Touring car and GT championships around the world. In addition to its reduced bedding in time (approximately 50% quicker than other materials), the main characteristics of the DS3000 are:
- Very High coefficient of friction (0,54) at all speeds and temperatures
- High initial bite
- Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
- Low off-brake drag
|
When using DS3000 on lighter racing cars lower brake pressures will be required to achieve the required deceleration. The graph relates the friction level of DS3000 to vehicle speed and to the temperature at the pad/disc interface. |
 |
Ferodo Racing DS3000E - E compound |
While maintaining the essential characteristics of the DS3000 family, FERODO "Endurance" material has been formulated to provide extended pad/rotor life in events of three to six hours in length. The main characteristics of DS3000 Endurance are:
- Exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures
- No fade
- Predictability in all conditions
- Good release
|
Whilst lower in overall friction level than DS3000 and 'Plus' DS3000 Endurance has the same excellent modulation as its sister compounds whilst maintaining an excellent bite. |
 |
Ferodo Racing DS3000Plus - M compound |
DS3000 Plus 03 was developed by FERODO for severe braking conditions, where high friction is required at extreme temperatures. The material has an exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0.72) is whilst maintaining the same gently rising toque profile as DS3000 and great initial bite. This compound is used in Touring car, Stockcar, GT, Indy Light, Formula Nippon, Formula 3000, DTC and many other international Series. The main characteristics of DS3000 Plus 03 are:
- Exceptionally high coefficient of friction (0,59) at all speeds and temperatures
- No fade
- Predictability in all conditions
- Good release
|
When using DS3000plus03 on lighter racing cars, lower brake pressures will be required to achieve the required deceleration. The graph relates the friction level of DS3000 Plus 03 to vehicle speed and to the temperature at the pad/disc interface. |

Ferodo Racing DS4003 - C compound | 4003 is a compound that was specifically developed for lighter cars (Formula 3, Formula Ford, Formula Opel, Formula Vauxhall, Formula Renault, Formula Campus) and Rally use. 4003 is the most commonly used pad worldwide in F3 championships. The main characteristics of 4003 are:
- High coefficient of friction (0,46) at all speeds and temperatures
- Short bedding in time
- Excellent initial bite
- Predictable and reliable
- Low drag/good release
|
4003 can also be used in the rear axle of front wheel drive racing cars (off road, asphalt, track). See graph for friction profile for speed and temperature characteristics. |

Several brake pads on the market boast 'ceramic' technology. DS1.11 is the real thing. It is based upon a chemical family known as Siloxanes. Unlike carbon based materials, siloxane chains do not decompose at high temperatures and so DS1.11 keeps on working up to the highest temperatures a brake pad could ever see. That means it won't fade and has excellent life, the best in the Ferodo Racing range. Moreover the performance remains exactly the same throughout the pad's (long) life. It is formulated to provide a very flat friction profile at a medium/high level of friction. The pad compression is very low, always, and so pedal travel is short and consistent. The main characteristics of DS1.11 are:
- High coefficient of friction (0,50) at all speeds and temperatures
- Excellent life of pad and disc
- High initial bite
- Predictability and control because of the unvarying torque output
- Low off-brake drag/Excellent release
- Unvarying performance throughout pad life
- Firm pedal. Always
|
DS1.11 is recommended for use in A1GP, FIA GT, Touring Car, Formula cars and Group N. |

DS2.11 is the sister compound to DS1.11. It is based on the same siloxane technology and shares many of DS1.11's characteristics (unvarying performance, short pedal, excellent control) but has some additional features, notably it's extremely high bit and friction coefficient. Pad life is slightly lower than DS1.11. It is especially recommended for rally (WRC race proven), but is suitable for any other application where very high friction, bit and a rising torque profile are desired.
- High coefficient of friction (max 0,62) at all speeds and temperatures
- Very high initial bite
- Excellent disc life and condition
- No fade. Strong torque profile.
- Good pad life
- Low off-brake drag/Excellent release
- Unvarying performance throughout pad life
- Firm pedal. Always
|
DS2.11 is recommended for rally applications and sprint races. |
