Brake Pads - Performance Friction 

 

Performance Friction Carbon Metallic Pads provide the stopping power, extended wear, noise reduction and driver control you want.

Developed to provide the ultimate in stopping power and fade-free feel. PFC pads are produced from a Carbon Metallic? compostion. Carbon possesses excellent dimensional stabilityat elevated temperatures. Therefore, the pad is less likely to deform and deteriorate at high temperatures, which can range anywhere between 300?C and 800?C. the metallic elements help to increase the coefficient of friction of the pad material for improving braking. All PFC compounds have similiar relative density / structural integrity / compressabily and Rockwell hardness. In other words, all PFC pads are in the region of medium to hard. The terms soft - medium - hard, tend to be used by pad manufacturers where they produce a pad to cope with one criterion, but exhibits poor performanceon other areas. PFC pads are one of the few in the marketplace that can offer excellentstopping power with excellent wear characterstics of both the pad and disc. the difference in compounds is more a measure of the characteristics of that compound, rather than a measure of its softness or hardness.  

 

Compound 05

PFC's newest compound, 05 has gained immediate favour in Motorsport racing due to its unsurpassed performance. 05 has the highest initial bite and highest average torque of any compound on the market. There is virtually no torque rise with temperature. Release and Modulation characteristics are second to none with wear slightly better that 03. This compound demands the most for the vehicle setup and is designed to handle the most severe applications.

Recommended for high grip, high downforce, and severe duty applications.

 

Compound 03

03 compound has shown to have higher bite and higher average torque than 01 compound with a slight rise of torque with temperature to handle severe conditions. 03 has excellent modulation and release characteristics, less torque scatter than competing pads, and very goood disc conditioning properties.

Recommended for high grip and high downforce applications.

 

Compound 01

The standard by which all brake pads are noe judges. 01 has high initial bite, and torque, with very little torque rise with temperature. At the end of the stop, 01 compound has less torque scatter and for improved modulation with excellent release. 01 compound has good disc conditioning perperties with low wear. Winner of more World and National Championships annually than other brake pads on the market.

Recommended for a wide variety of applications.

 

Compound 97

A favourite of sports car endurance racing since its debut, 97 compound has less initial bite and average torque than 01. It has great modulation, a very flat torque curve, and enhanced release characteristics. 97 in considered PFC "Endurance Compound" with the lowest wear of any PFC Compound and is also highly recommended as a general purpose pad for Club Racing and Track Day Events.

Recommended for applications that demand excellent wear and modulation.
